Ack Attack Post 18: Comparison: CL-Accord

Since Acura is a brand of Honda, the cars are much the same. Many Acuras can be fixed at Honda dealerships because many of the parts are compatible - though not all are. The Acura Cl has been in production for a far shorter time than the Accord Coupe. The Cl is based on the Accord Coupe,. The suspension and interior parts mirror the 94-97 Accord and the engine is based on the 98-02 Accords - for the 2nd Gen Cl's, that is. The front of the Cl is much like that of the Accord, and makes it look like a Honda.

The Cl can handle mountains and curves more easily than a Honda, being that it able to stick to the road a little more easily. Though the Cl would most likely be compared with the Accord coupe, it is technically based on the sedan. The Cl is about 2 inches longer in the body than the Accord, making body kits into a tough across-the-board fit on the two coupes. Being that there were not all too many Cl's sold, there are not half as many on the road as Accords, which are still in production. Overall, the Cl is simply a step up from the Accord, in styling, speed, elegance...and price.
